Sime Darby Motors’ association with the BMW brand then expanded into Singapore, Malaysia, China, New Zealand and Thailand. In 2003, Sime Darby Motors entered into a joint venture with the BMW Group to set-up BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of BMW, MINI and Motorrad vehicles for Malaysia. Sime Darby Motors’ representation of the BMW brand strengthened further in 2013 and 2014 when it acquired Europe Automobiles Corporation, Vietnam and Brisbane BMW in Australia respectively.
