Our first involvement with the Malaysian motor industry began with the distributorship of Ford vehicles more than 40 years ago. We have since grown to become one of the major automotive industry players in the country. The brands we represent today are BMW, MINI, Hyundai, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, Volvo and BYD.Since 2004, we have been assembling Hyundai vehicles under the Inokom brand in our assembly plant in Kulim, Kedah. We have also included certain BMW, MINI, Mazda and Ford models to our assembly line-up.
Sime Darby Motors has the exclusive franchise of Hertz and Thrifty Car Rental in Malaysia which is operated by Sime Darby Rent-A-Car Sdn Bhd (SDRAC). Sime Darby Motors started its operations in Hong Kong more than 40 years ago. In both Hong Kong and Macau, we are the exclusive distributor and retailer for established brands such as BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, Suzuki, Peugeot and Mitsubishi in the passenger car segment.In the commercial vehicle segment, we have the exclusive distributorship for Mitsubishi Fuso trucks and buses as well as JAC trucks in both Hong Kong and Macau.
Our aftersales operations of the Multi-Franchise Group provide aftersales service in Hong Kong and Macau through fully equipped service centres across the region. Sime Darby Motors in New Zealand is involved in the distribution and retail of passenger and commercial vehicles through its subsidiary: Sime Darby Motor Group (NZ) Ltd. SDMG(NZ) operates two business units: Retail and Commercial.SDMG(NZ) Retail was established in New Zealand in 1999 with the acquisition of Continental Car Services Ltd, a multi-franchise dealership retailing renowned brands such as Ferrari, Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen. In addition to these brands, SDMG(NZ) Retail now also retails the BMW and Nissan brands.

TAIWAN
Sime Darby Kia Taiwan was established in August 2013 and is the official and authorised distributor of Kia passenger cars in Taiwan.Sime Darby Kia Taiwan opened its first branch in Neihu, Taipei, in October 2014. In November 2014, the second branch started operation in Beitou, Taipei. Both of these branches are 3S centres.
On 13 November 2014, Sime Darby Kia Taiwan was officially launched in Taiwan. The CKD Morning, CBU Soul and CBU Optima was also officially launched on the same day.
