(MY) Sime Darby Motors employees participates in YSD’s Beach Clean Up – Huluran Kasih programme
20 employees from Sime Darby Motors participated in the Yayasan Sime Darby Beach Clean-up with Sime Darby companies, held at Pantai Kelanang, Banting on 11th June 2022. The beach clean up activity was part of Yayasan Sime Darby’s Huluran Kasih programme, the Employee Volunteer Programme for Sime Darby companies, and held in conjunction with World Environment Day.
Approximately 150 volunteers collected a total of 1,074.66kg of trash covering approximately 1 square kilometre of the shore area. The volunteers also learned about plastic pollution and its impact on our coasts and climate from YSD's very own long-term partner, Reef Check Malaysia (RCM). RCM is an organisation that focuses on coral reef monitoring, community resilience, and environmental educational programmes.
