The Yayasan Sime Darby International Women's Day 2019 (YSDIWD 2019) recently was organized in collaboration with YSD's long-time project partner, the Women's Aid Organization (WAO). The event, held in conjunction with International Women's Day celebration, aimed at raising awareness and educating the public on how to respond immediately and appropriately to gender-based violence whilst supporting survivors. It was held on Friday 8th March 2019 at Sime Darby Plantation Auditorium.

Our Motors employee, Amirozaina Abdul Rahim from Inokom, was one of the seven recipients for the Rising Star Award. This award was gifted to specially selected ladies within the Sime Darby Group whom has shown resilience to overcome gender-discriminatory challenges and succeed in building a successful career in a male-dominated industries. Amirozaina, the mother of three young men, is currently heading material and production planning control units with 15 male and 1 female staff. She has been in Inokom Corporation for 16 years.
