BMW Concessionaries (HK) Limited recently organised an immersive MINI workshop during the Easter holiday to transform classic vinyl into a unique timepiece. With over 80 participants, the workshop was held at the MINI Tsuen Wan showroom to showcase a sustainable approach in line with MINI’s global campaign, “Big Love for the Planet.” The workshop also plays a small but important role in supporting Sime Darby’s Sustainability Blueprint by adopting recycling and waste minimisation initiatives.

Participants were guided through a creative-making process starting with experiencing the rich sound quality of classic vinyl records which were the collection from 1001HK. This set the stage for their creative journey, using recycled wood and vinyl as primary materials, participants personalised their timepieces with ornaments of their choice. Participants had a fun time together at the workshop together with their family and friends. 

As part of ongoing sustainability efforts, a book crossing corner has been set up at the MINI Tsuen Wan showroom. Here, visitors can bring home books donated by publishers or exchange their old books. This initiative encourages knowledge sharing while contributing to a sustainable living, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility within the local community.
