Malaysia. Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance, proudly announces today that the new Porsche Cayenne, made exclusively for the Malaysian market, is now available to order online via a seamless new digital platform.

Thoroughly refined, the successful luxury SUV features upgrades to its chassis systems, innovative high-tech features, as well as a highly digitalised display and control concept. Customers may reach out to their nearest Porsche Centre or place orders online at mycayenne.online. The new Cayenne is priced from RM 599,999.

“The Porsche Cayenne is a leading luxury SUV model in Malaysia. With one of the most extensive product upgrades in the history of Porsche, we look forward to fulfilling even more sports car dreams in Malaysia while providing the best in quality, performance, and overall driving experience with the new locally assembled Cayenne,” said Christopher Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Auto Performance.

Enhanced standard equipment for the new locally assembled Cayenne
In March 2022, Porsche and Sime Darby Berhad unveiled the first local assembly facility for Porsche outside of Europe, firmly underscoring the marque’s commitment to the Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region.

The small-scale assembly is adapted to specific local conditions. The local assembly facility in Malaysia recently celebrated a significant milestone – as of May 2023, more than 1,000 locally assembled Cayennes have been successfully delivered to customers in Malaysia.

The standard specification of the new Cayenne has been enhanced for Malaysia: features optional elsewhere in the world such as Adaptive Cruise Control, soft-close doors and the Sport Chrono Package come as standard on the locally assembled Cayenne.

Inside, the new locally assembled Cayenne also comes with 14-way electric comfort seats with memory package as standard. Headrests on the front seats are also embossed with the Porsche crest as standard for Malaysia, as are electric roll-up sun blinds for the rear windows.

The new Cayenne also features an enhanced suite of standard features compared to its predecessor, including Matrix LED headlights, Porsche Active Suspension Management, Power Steering Plus, 20-inch Cayenne Design wheels, Front and Rear Park Assist with Surround View, Bose Surround Sound System and a Smartphone Tray with Inductive Charging at up to 15 watts.

With its comprehensive new upgrades and enhanced standard features in Malaysia, the new Cayenne underlines its claim to be one of the sportiest and most compelling offers in its segment. Three exterior colours are available including Chromite Black Metallic, Carrara White Metallic and Quarzite Grey Metallic, with black or black and red leather interiors to choose from.

Digitised and driver-focused: Porsche Driver Experience
Porsche has integrated a completely revised display and control concept into the new Cayenne. The new Porsche Driver Experience, first introduced in the Porsche Taycan, focuses instrumentation on the driver's axis and optimises operation.

Functions that the driver uses frequently are located directly on or immediately next to the steering wheel. For example, the lever located on the left behind the steering wheel now has additional functions for operating the driver assistance systems. The automatic transmission selector lever is now on the dashboard. This makes room for the new centre console for storage compartments and a large air conditioning controller in an elegant black panel design.

A key feature of the new Porsche Driver Experience is the right balance between digital and analogue elements. Large, easily accessible controls combined with mechanical air conditioning switches and a haptic volume controller ensure optimum operability and a refined look.

For the first time, the redesigned cockpit of the Cayenne includes a fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster with a curved and free-standing design, with variable display options. The standard 12.3-inch central Porsche Communication Management (PCM) display integrates harmoniously into the new dashboard and provides access to all the relevant vehicle functions.

Refined design, innovative lighting technology
The new Cayenne now sports a particularly expressive appearance. A new front end combined with more strongly arched wings, a new bonnet and technically appealing headlights emphasises the vehicle’s width. Three-dimensionally designed taillights, uncluttered surfaces beneath and a new rear apron with integrated number plate holder characterise the rear end design of the new Cayenne.

Matrix LED Headlights are now standard in the new Cayenne. They use speed, camera and navigation data to ensure ideal illumination. Their high beam area is divided into 11 segments that can be illuminated or dimmed according to the situation, known as a matrix beam. In this way, they enable optimal visibility with the high beam activated without dazzling vehicles ahead or oncoming traffic.

Porsche has also introduced an air quality system in the new Cayenne. As standard, the vehicle uses predictive navigation data to detect approaching tunnel entrances and automatically activates air recirculation. Optionally, a sensor detects the level of fine dust particles in the air and passes it through the fine dust filter multiple times if necessary. Furthermore, an ioniser removes many germs and pollutants from the air, which is particularly beneficial for allergy sufferers.

Increased range between ride comfort and performance
The driving experience is additionally enhanced with the new adaptive air suspension with 2-chamber, 2-valve technology. This improves the driving experience with a soft suspension characteristic, stabilises the vehicle further and simplifies on-road and off-road handling – compared to both the standard suspension and the predecessor model. At the same time, the adaptive air suspension improves driving precision and performance, and reduces body movements in dynamic driving situations. The suspension also offers an even sharper differentiation between Normal, Sport and Sport Plus driving modes.

Further personalisation options with Porsche Tequipment
Further personalisation options are available for the new locally assembled Cayenne, including the 21-inch Cayenne Exclusive Design wheels and 22-inch Sport Design wheels. With rear seat entertainment systems as an additional option, customers can elevate the ownership experience through Tequipment accessories, ensuring that passengers enjoy every minute of the journey in the new Cayenne.
