In its continued bid to reduce accidents on the road in Malaysia, SQM Department organized their "Defensive Driving Training for Car Drivers" on the 20th and 21st of August 2019.

The two-day training was held at Motors HQ and Stadium Shah Alam's parking lot accordingly. Participants were from our very own Operating Units and this was conducted by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Malaysia & SOCSO.

During day 1, participants were equipped with knowledge on Act & Regulation, Introduction to Vehicle, Accident Intervention Program Briefing, Road Hazard & Safe Driving, Vehicle Handling & Control, Accident & Emergency Management, Vehicle Maintenance and Demonstration Session (Vehicle Inspection). Whereas for day 2, it was more on practical training where they learned how to do the steering control, brake technique & clutch, slalom and parking, sliding area & road driving etc.

We hope this training was beneficial for the attendees and would create awareness among our employees on driving safely and efficiently.
