Unveils New Showrooms & Aftersales Services

KUALA LUMPUR, June 22, 2023 – Sime Darby Motors, the automotive arm of Sime Darby Berhad, and BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, recently celebrated another milestone with the opening of two new BYD Centres in Penang and Johor Bahru.

This marks BYD’s continued expansion in Malaysia. Developed by Sime Darby Motors’ subsidiary, Sime Darby Beyond Auto, the centres provide convenient accessibility to world-class sales and aftersales services for customers across the nation, strategically located in the northern and southern regions. With both new centres designed to offer elevated experiences for customers as they are integrated in shopping malls, the latest BYD showroom expansion in the northern and southern regions demonstrates the brand’s accelerating growth across Malaysia.

BYD’s integrated management of parts distribution throughout the nation ensures sufficient supply of spare parts for its vehicles and this is backed by highly trained technicians at the aftersales service centres to ensure quality care and expertise for customers’ ease of mind.

Apart from the new showrooms at Penang’s Gurney Plaza and Johor’s Mid Valley Southkey, BYD Sime Darby Beyond Auto’s showrooms that are located strategically within the Klang Valley include its flagship showroom in Ara Damansara and the first in the heart of Kuala Lumpur at TREC, Jalan Tun Razak.
