  • MALAYSIA
    Our first involvement with the Malaysian motor industry began with the distributorship of Ford vehicles more than 40 years ago. We have since grown to become one of the major automotive industry players in the country. The brands we represent today are BMW, MINI, Hyundai, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover and Porsche.
    Since 2004, we have been assembling Hyundai vehicles under the Inokom brand in our assembly plant in Kulim, Kedah. We have also included certain BMW, MINI, Land Rover, Mazda and Ford models to our assembly line-up.

    Sime Darby Motors has the exclusive franchise of Hertz and Thrifty Car Rental in Malaysia which is operated by Sime Darby Rent-A-Car Sdn Bhd (SDRAC). With the dual branding of Thrifty and Hertz, SDRAC is currently the biggest car rental service provider in Malaysia.

    Sime Darby Fleet Services Pty Ltd specialises in 4-WD vehicles and buses for rental under the trade name Corefleet in Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales. It services the mining and construction industries in these 3 states.
    Sime Darby Motors acquired the BMW Brisbane operations in April 2014 and since then has added the Ferrari dealership in Brisbane in its fold.

    Sime Darby ventured into the China market in the 1990s. In China, Sime Darby Motors focuses on luxury brands namely BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini and McLaren.
    Our retail BMW operations are present in major cities such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shantou, Haikou, Kunming, Chengdu, Changsha and Chongqing while Rolls-Royce,Lamborghini and McLaren operations in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Nanjing.

    In these cities, we have full-fledged BMW 4S centres that are equipped with the latest systems and equipment to provide motor vehicle products, parts and excellent aftersales services to our customers. Our service centres have earned the reputation as one of the most modern and largest workshops in China.

    Sime Darby Motors started its operations in Hong Kong more than 40 years ago. In both Hong Kong and Macau, we are the exclusive distributor and retailer for established brands such as BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, Suzuki, Peugeot and Mitsubishi in the passenger car segment.
    In the commercial vehicle segment, we have the exclusive distributorship for Mitsubishi Fuso trucks and buses as well as JAC trucks in both Hong Kong and Macau.

    Our aftersales operations of the Multi-Franchise Group provide aftersales service in Hong Kong and Macau through fully equipped service centres across the region. We are also the sole aftersales agent for Denso products.

    Sime Darby Motors in New Zealand is involved in the distribution and retail of passenger and commercial vehicles through its subsidiary: Sime Darby Motor Group (NZ) Ltd. SDMG(NZ) operates two business units: Retail and Commercial. 
    SDMG(NZ) Retail was established in New Zealand in 1999 with the acquisition of Continental Car Services Ltd, a multi-franchise dealership retailing renowned brands such as Ferrari, Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen. In addition to these brands, SDMG(NZ) Retail now also retails the BMW and Nissan brands.

    SDMG(NZ) Commercial is the exclusive importer of new Hino, UD, Mack and Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses, and provides servicing for all brands at 17 Truck Stops service centres plus authorised service dealerships across New Zealand.

  • SINGAPORE
    Sime Darby Motors has over 30 years of experience in the Singapore motor industry which began with the distributorship of BMW vehicles in 1979 under Performance Motors Ltd (PML).
    Through Vantage Automotive Ltd, we represent Peugeot and Ford. Its state-of-the-art Vantage Automotive Centre houses these two brands under one roof.
    Sime Darby Motors also represents the Hertz and Thrifty car rental business in the republic.

  • TAIWAN
    Sime Darby Kia Taiwan was established in August 2013 and is the official and authorised distributor of Kia passenger cars in Taiwan.
    Sime Darby Kia Taiwan opened its first branch in Neihu, Taipei, in October 2014. In November 2014, the second branch started operation in Beitou, Taipei. Both of these branches are 3S centres.

    On 13 November 2014, Sime Darby Kia Taiwan was officially launched in Taiwan. The CKD Morning, CBU Soul and CBU Optima was also officially launched on the same day. It has added CKD Carens and CBU Sportage in its range of products and has 14 dealerships in its network by December 2016.

    Sime Darby Motors commenced its Thailand operations in 2001 with the retail of Mazda vehicles under Sime Darby Mazda (Thailand) Ltd. We have since expanded our retail operations to include BMW and Ford.
