The All-New BMW Z4 Roadster

26 March 2009 – To celebrate the arrival of the all-new BMW Z4 Roadster in Hong Kong, BMW Concessionaires (HK) Ltd. is hosting a press conference today at the BMW Wanchai Showroom. The event was officiated by honourable guests Mrs. Gaby-Luise Wuest, General Manager of BMW Group Beijing Representative Import Office and Mr. Edmond Kwok, Managing Director of BMW Concessionaires (HK) Ltd., as well as famous models Ms. Mikki Yao and Ms. Bonnie Chen.

Quintessential Proportions with Retractable Hardtop
An Elegant, Premium Quality, Classic Roadster

This all-new BMW Z4 Roadster was first debuted at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. For the first time, a long bonnet, a flat belt line, a low seating position in front of the rear axle and a slightly sloping rear are all successfully combined with a fully automatic retractable hardtop.

The new-look cockpit of the all-new BMW Z4 Roadster incorporates characteristic roadster features and a wealth of unique details. Built around the driver, the centre console and instrument panel are designed to enhance driving experience. Large decorative surfaces, top-quality materials and exemplary workmanship all add to the ambience.

BMW Six-Cylinder In-Line Engines:
Powerful yet Environmentally Friendly

The all-new BMW Z4 Roadster is launched with a choice of three highly efficient six-cylinder in-line petrol engines, ranging in power outputs from 150 kW (204 hp) to 225 kW (306 hp). Unique in this class, all three engines are already in compliance with the EU5 emissions standard. A seven-speed sports automatic transmission with dual clutch is standard in the all-new BMW Z4 Roadster’s sDrive35i with twin turbo technology.

The all-new BMW Z4 Roadster comes with BMW’s EfficientDynamics, a groundbreaking programme of technologies to enhance performance while cutting emissions. Innovative technologies fitted as standard include brake energy regeneration, electric power steering, optimised aerodynamics, pressure-regulated electric fuel pump, intelligent lightweight construction, high precision injection and a host of ancillary components that only draw power when they actually need it.
