24 April 2009 - Watch out for the new MINI in town! The new MINI Cabrio was launched on 24th April 2009 simultaneously at Auto Bavaria Bukit Bintang and Auto Bavaria Penang.

At Auto Bavaria Bukit Bintang, over 200 people were present to witness the unveiling of the new MINI Cabrio. The event started at 7pm with cocktails. Mr. Geoffrey Briscoe, Managing Director of BMW Malaysia and Mr. Mathias Heimann, Managing Director of Auto Bavaria gave a speech to start off the event.

The sporty MINI Cooper Cabrio has a top speed of 198 km/h and a maximum torque of 160Nm at 4250 rpm with an acceleration of 9.3 seconds from 0-100 km/h, it’s a MINI bursting with get-up-and go.

It comes in a variety of body colors including the new Interchange Yellow and Horizon Blue. The soft top is available in 2 colours which are black or hot chocolate. The fully automatic soft top opens in a mere 15 seconds at vehicle speeds of up to 30 km/h. Bonnet stripes are also available to spice up the new MINI Cooper Cabrio for those who want to make a statement. The stylish automobile also has an active roll-over bar with a chrome finish and the Piano Black insert adds a stylish subtlety to the rear.

On this special occasion, a fashion show by Guess ‘Marciano’ and renowned DJ, Joey G was present to entertain the guests. Special cocktails from Henessy VSOP were also served.
