BMW(PRC) Management Trainee Programme 2008/2009

26 June 2009 - The BMW(PRC) Management Trainee Programme 2008/2009 started in July 2008. There were 6 Management Trainees who underwent a one-week introductory and familiarization session, 50 weeks of on-the-job training in various departments namely Sales, Marketing, Service, Parts, Human Resources and Finance under the guidance of the mentors in our Shenzhen and Guangzhou BMW dealerships, followed by a one-week visit to Hong Kong and Macau where they visited the BMW and Multi-franchise operations to gain more understanding on the operational similarities and differences among the sister companies.

The Programme ended on 26 June 2009 with a Graduation Ceremony in which each Management Trainee made a presentation to their mentors with a given topic, with the purpose of knowing how well they understand what they have learnt during the 50 weeks. They all got good assessment results and were awarded a Graduation Certificate.
Mr Raymond Lee, Director & General Manager of BMW China gave a speech, commending on their learning attitude and hoping that they can continue to learn after the job placement and contribute to the success of the company to which they belong. Mr Joseph Chan, General Manager – Human Resources recognized the performance of the Management Trainees who have all improved their technical knowledge and interpersonal skills in the year, and reminded them to always remember and practise the core values of Sime Darby Group.

The Management Trainee Programme is actually part of our CSR initiatives. The Company was able to successfully develop 6 of the university graduates to work in an industry they are interested, who have now become members of talent of Sime Darby Group. We wish them success in their new roles.
